Happy New Year! We’re back from break and excited to get rolling on everything we’ve got planned for the year.
First up is our usual update. Here’s what we were up to in December:
We received £1,327.63 in donations from 83 contributors and we spent £3,302.93. We have £8,171.96 left in our main pot, £972.05 left of our Homes For Us Grant, and £2,995.00 left of our Consortium Devolved Nations Fund Grant.
Thank you so much for everyone who completed our surveys seeking feedback about our grants and the Big Splash (now called the Swim & Gym)! Your feedback on these surveys is helpful so we can apply for grants to keep (and grow) what we do.

From 17th December through the 2nd of this month, we’ve been on our annual break! 2024 was a big year for us in terms of building our team and adjusting our approaches, so this break was sorely needed. We were able to come back and plan for 2025 with lots of energy (keep an eye out for our reports coming soon)!
Now for some announcements about things coming up:
On Saturday the 11th of January, we had a full day of planning! Our team met together at Chapter (thank you again for having us!!) to discuss what we want TAC to be, how we accomplish that, and what we should prioritise this year. We’ll release more in-depth information later, but we are hoping to focus on growing TAC this year.
We’re super excited to announce that we’re increasing the frequency of our swimming events! These have been a big hit in the past, and you’ll now have two opportunities per month on the 2nd and 4th Fridays to join us. Trans men and nonbinary people are welcome to swim without a swim top. We also have access to a full gym! We had an awesome time on the 10th and hope to see you at our next Swim & Gym on the 24th!
Our budget is quite tight this year as we’ve burnt through most of our reserves. Until we can get that back up, we are currently keeping our emergency grants closed. Our regular grants are running as usual. Look out for more information about this in our reports soon.
