We need volunteers! Thought about volunteering for TAC before? Now’s the time to get stuck in!
As many of you know, we’ve been struggling with volunteer capacity a lot this year. We’re restructuring to be more organised and to prevent further volunteer burnout. As part of our restructure, we’re looking for new volunteers to fill specific roles within TAC. Take a look and let us know if you think you have any skills you would like to offer TAC!
We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who are intersex and/or part of the global majority.
Our Management Team will be in touch with the respondents at the end of October, then we’ll keep the application forms up and get in touch with any new applicants every 2 months.
Events Team!
We’re looking for someone to join our small events team of one or two people.
Being on TAC’s Events Team involves:
- Communicating with venues and booking regular events
- Communicating with Not A Phase to sort invoices and reimbursements
- Working with the social media team to publicise events
- Hosting events

Social Media Team!
We’re looking for 4-5 people to join our Social Media Team!
Being on TAC’s Social Media Team can involve:
- Drafting copy for social media posts
- Designing social media posts using Canva
- Posting social media posts using Buffer
- Posting to the TAC Discord announcement server
- Moderating the private TAC Facebook group
- Moderating the public TAC Facebook page
- Responding to replies on all accounts
- Deleting hateful or inappropriate content on social media
- Administering the Fundraiser Booster grants
We don’t expect everyone in the social media team to do every task, which is why we need lots of people on board so that volunteers can specialise and work on tasks that suit their skills and availability best.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of graphic design and are familiar with Canva, and from people who have experiencing working in social media.

Communications Team!
We’re looking for 2 people to join our small Comms Team!
Being on TAC’s Communications Team involves:
- Responding to basic enquiries
- Passing information on to other teams for specific enquiries
- Signposting people to appropriate resources
- Drafting and sharing stock responses for common enquiries

Communications Team Lead!
We’re looking for someone to lead our communications team.
Being a team lead involves responding to comms we receive via our various channels (such as email and instagram DMs), and assigning message threads to other volunteers as needed. The Management Team is made up of all the team leads and we have regular meetings to make sure that TAC is running as smoothly as possible.

- Updating our grants spreadsheet with the info from Open Collective
- Communicating with service users for verification
- Inputting on decisions about grant requests
- Administering grants through Open Collective

We’re looking for someone to join our small IT Team of 2-3 people!

- Maintaining & updating our website
- Maintaining our other internal web services
- Helping other volunteers troubleshoot any tech issues
- Working on various digital development projects
